One of the most imposing palaces among all the forts and palaces of Rajasthan, India, the Lake Palace is located in the Romantic City Udaipur in the state of Rajasthan, India. This impressive palace is located on the Jag Niwas Island and covers the area of 1.5 hectare of the Jag Niwas Island in the middle of beautiful & eye-catching Lake Pichola. The Lake Palace was in 1746. The palace was constructed as a royal summer palace. This arresting palace has now been turned into a five star palace hotel which is run by the Taj Group of Hotels.

The Lake Palace is a magical palace which is the marvels in marble. Located in the middle of Pichola Lake this palace is like a leaf floating on the water of picturesque Pichola Lake. The Lake Palace was initially called Jagniwas palace after its founder Maharana Jagjit Singh.

There are 83 rooms including 17 stunning suites and 53 deluxe rooms inside the Lake Palace hotel. All the rooms of Lake Palace are decorated with cusped arches, inland stones of pink and green lotus leaves and beautifully painted mirrors. Apartments like Kush Mahal, Bada Mahal, Ajjan Niwas, Dhola Mahal and Phool Mahal are impressive. These impressive apartments enhance the beauty & charm of the Lake Palace.
